The Team Leader is responsible for supervising and monitoring day-to-day security operations during an assigned shift. The Team Leader conducts daily inspection of the guard posts. Among his duties is to ascertain guard attendance and punctuality.
The Team Leader position is used for the following situations:
Patrol client accounts, supervise and perform site inspections
Observes and reports activities and incidents at assigned client sites, providing for the security and safety of client property and personnel.
Makes periodic patrols to check for irregularities
Preserves order and may act to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises.
Protects evidence at scene of incident in the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations.
Responds to incidents
Prepares logs and reports as required.
Fill in for officers while on vacation/sick/no call-no show.
Typical Team Leader Activities:
Verify that the guards are fit for work, completely equipped and that they are complying with posts orders.
Support staffing requirements at accounts during shortages due to vacations, call-offs, no shows, holidays, etc.
Assist in start-ups at new accounts to include: working the site, writing post orders and training checklists and training newly assigned permanent Security Officers.
Work special security assignments as required.
Expect to work on weekends and holidays with limited notice, and work during “high need” periods.
